Your braces consultation with Dr. Viechnicki is a checkup where you see what your treatment would look like, talk about getting braces and the investment involved.
We recommend the complimentary video chat option for all new patients. If you are unable to send photos to us, then you have the option of a traditional in-office evaluation. Photographs and X-rays are available at an additional charge.

A: Dr. Viechnicki recommends meeting by video chat to find out if it is the right time for treatment.
Q: How much does the video chat cost?
A: There is no charge for the video chat.
Q: How much will my insurance be billed for the video chat?
A: Your insurance is not charged for the video chat.
Q: How long does the video chat take?
A: Please allow 10 minutes for the video chat. The treatment plan video and report are emailed to you within 24 hours.
Q: What if the photos I take of my teeth look bad?
A: High quality photos help make quality recommendations about treatment. When you video chat with Dr. Viechnicki he may request some clarification about what he missed seeing in the photos.
Q: How should I take the photos?
A: Use spoons, spatulas, or clean fingers to move the lips and cheeks to get a full view of the teeth.
Q: Where should I send the photos?
A: After selecting a day and time above, upload each photo individually using the form that appears. You can also email additional photos and x-rays to email@example.com.
Q: What video chat software do I need?
A: Google Meet. No download needed on a laptop. Free app for iOS and Android. HIPAA compliant.
Q: Where can I find the link to join the meeting on time?
A: You will receive an email with a link to "join the meeting". Please join at your reserved time.
Q: What if I need X-rays?
A: If treatment is recommended, Panoramic and Cephalometric x-rays would be captured at the start of treatment.
Q: I have never taken photos of my teeth, can you take them for me?
A: Yes, we can take photographs for you. The fees for capturing records at our office are $41 for photographs, $83 for a panoramic x-ray, and $83 for a cephalometric x-ray.
Q: How much does the in-office exam cost?

A: The records visit includes capture and evaluation of records. If you have questions about records, we recommend booking a video chat because it is complimentary.
Q: Is the records visit refundable?
A: No. The records visit is not refundable.
Q: If I get records now, but it turns out that it is not the right time to start braces, will I be charged for them again?
A: Yes, you will be charged for records that are updated at the time of braces placement. It would have been better if you booked a video chat instead.
Q: I just want to know how long treatment will take and how much it will cost. Can you tell me the cost over the phone?

A: We help patients ages 7 and up. If this is your main concern, we recommend starting with a complimentary video chat instead of records.

A: You would want to book a video chat before all the baby teeth fall out because orthodontic problems begin when baby teeth are still present.
