How to video chat

Video chats at Smile Logic use Google Meet.

You can use a phone, tablet, laptop, or any computer with a camera and microphone.

If you have not already reserved a time, book a video chat online.

If you reserved a time, please follow the instructions below:

Use a phone or tablet

  • Get the app for Android, or iOS.
  • Click on the URL in the email to open the meeting in the app.
  • Allow access to your camera and microphone.
  • Check that your camera and microphone work in the reception screen.
  • Click “join now” when you are ready to join.
  • Enter the patient name if requested
  • Wait for our office to confirm your connection (for your privacy)

Use a laptop or computer

  • No app needed.
  • Click on the URL in the email to open your browser. Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari.
  • Allow access to your camera and microphone.
  • Check that your camera and microphone work in the reception screen.
  • Click “join now” when you are ready to join.
  • Enter the patient name if requested
  • Wait for our office to confirm your connection (for your privacy)

FAQ

Q: Should I start a new meeting or “Join now”?
A: “Join now” to connect to the video chat. If you start a new meeting it will not connect with Dr. Viechnicki.

Q: I clicked “Join now” but I get kicked out
A: After you click Join now, wait for Dr. Viechnicki. It might time-out if we are with another patient. Please try to join again.
